Abstract:

Objective To understand the prevalence of post⁃stroke depression in China by using a meta⁃ analysis. Methods After searching the databases including CNKI,Wangfang,VIP,and Pubmed,we collected the relevant literature on the prevalence of post ⁃ stroke depression in China before February 28,2021. The Stata 11.0 software was used for meta⁃analysis. Results A total of 50 articles were included, with a total sample size of 22 822 persons. The prevalence of post⁃stroke depression in China was 34.9%(95%CI:3.17% ~ 38.1%). A sub⁃ group analysis showed that the prevalence of female was higher than that of male, and the prevalence of recurrent patients was higher than that of incipient patients, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in marital status, education level, age, residential region, survey year, stroke types and stroke location. Conclusions The prevalence of post ⁃ stroke depression is higher in China. Clinicians should identify patients with post⁃stroke depression as early as possible, and carry out proper treatment and inter⁃ vention.
