The Journal of Practical Medicine is a national comprehensive medical academic journal organized by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission and the Guangdong Provincial Medical Academic Exchange Center . The journal was founded in 1972 and published semimonthly currently. Our journal has a large amount of readers and authors throughout both the domestic and international countries. Our journal provides a forum for authors to present research findings and their practical applications and significance, based on the professional editorial committee and reviewers' team. Academicians Zhong Nanshan, Zeng Yixin, Zhong Shizhen, and Hou Fanfan serve as honorary advisors.
Aims & Scope ：The Journal of Practical Medicine intended to disseminate new medical theories, exchange new medical technologies, and serve to promote academic progress. Based on the principle of combining theory with practical application, we will focus on reporting innovative and forward-looking basic research papers, clinical innovative research papers, as well as the latest medical research achievements, new medical technologies, and new trends.
In recent years, benefited from the great contribution of our experts team that provide professional guidance and editorial boards’ as well as reviewers’ strong supports, the academic evaluation indicators including the impact factor (IF) of the J Pract Med keeps to rise. According to the China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report (Extended Edition, 2022), the impact factor of J Pract Med achieves up to 2.609, and the proportion of funded researches reaches 90.49%. In addition, J Pract Med has got a second highest score among the domestic comprehensive journals of clinical medicine. Moreover, the number of submission articles in 2023 will continue to meet 10 000, with sources from nearly 800 research institutions across China. For each year, nearly 20 papers will be recognized for building the top paper platform of high-quality journals, called Leading 5000 (F5000) project. The development in academic quality of our journal, as a result, has contributed to the popularity among both the authors and readers.
