Role of nicorandil in treatment of coronary heart disease based on Chinese Coronary Heart Disease Medi⁃cation Guidelines

Abstract:

Reasonable application of medications for primary/secondary prevention and treatment is ofgreat significance in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Recent studies have shown that nicorandil has compara⁃ble efficacy to classic anti⁃angina drugs in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Nicorandil is recommended as animportant therapeutic drug for relieving angina pectoris or myocardial ischemia in Chinese Coronary Heart DiseaseMedication Guidelines published in June 2018 by Committee of Experts of Rational Use of Medicine of NationalHealth and Family Planning Commission of P.R.China. Based on the guidelines，this article reviews the currentprogress of nicorandil in the treatment of coronary heart disease and its application prospect，and provides refer⁃ence for the rational use of medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease.
