Abstract:

Objective To analyze ultrasonic monitoring data of severe COVID⁃19 patients in ICU，and toexplore the application value and characteristics of ultrasound. Methods The ultrasonic data of chest，heartand blood vesselsof severe and critical COVID⁃19 patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou MedicalUniversity were recorded；the ultrasound demand and positive rate of patients during the treatment were statisticallyanalyzed. The monitoring value of ultrasound was analyzed. Results Sixteenpatients with 318 times of ultrasoundwere included in this studyand the clinical needs of ultrasound examination in an ascending order were heart，vein，pleural effusion and digestive system. The positive rate of ultrasound was 74% in heart，60% in lower limbvein，59% in internal jugular vein，77% in digestive tract and 66% in hydrothorax.The positive rate of cardiovascu⁃lar and abdominal ultrasound examination in patients with ECMO was significantly higher than that in those without（P < 0.05）. Conclusion The demand and positive rate of ultrasound in the treatment of severe and critical COV⁃ID⁃19 patients in ICU are relatively high. Moreover，ultrasound can reflect the severity of the disease.
