Clinical observation of Yoga in the recovery of overall pelvic floor function in postpartum women

Abstract:

Objective This study aims to explore the effect of yoga exercise on the recovery of pelvic floor function and quality of life in postpartum women. Methods A total of 182 puerperas diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction who were diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction in our hospital from September 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into a yoga group and a control group according to 1∶1. Combined with yoga exercise,the control group only adopted health education. The main observation index of this study is pelvic floor muscle strength,and the second observation indexes are pelvic floor electrophysiological index,pelvic organ prolapse scale,body mass index,waist circumference,pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence sexual function questionnaire(PISQ⁃12)Changes in the score,urinary incontinence impact question⁃ naire(IIQ⁃7)score,and VAS scale score. Results After the intervention,the pelvic floor muscle strength of the yoga group was significantly improved compared with the control group(P < 0.05);the vaginal dynamic pressure value of the yoga group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05);the improvement degree of pelvic organ prolapse better than the control group(P < 0.05);the body mass index decline in the yoga group was higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05);the scores of the three quality of life questionnaires in the yoga group were better than those in the control group(all P < 0.05). Conclusion Yoga can significantly improve the recovery of postpartum women′s overall pelvic floor function. It is not affected by venue,time,and equipment. It is conve⁃ nient and easy to implement,and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
