Abstract:

MicroRNA(miRNA)is a type of endogenous, non⁃coding single⁃stranded RNA with a length of about 22 nucleotides. It regulates the expression of target genes at the post⁃transcriptional level and is closely related to many important life activities. The pathogenesis of functional bowel disorders(FBD)has not been fully clarified. Studies have shown that miRNAs plays an important role in the occurrence and development of FBD. This article summarizes the biological function of miRNAs,its expression changes in FBD and the regulatory mechanism of miRNAsin intestinal mucosal barrier, visceral hypersensitivity and intestinal motility,to providereference for the follow⁃up mechanism research of FBD and the search for potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets
