Abstract:

Objective To explore the value of serum soluble tumor factor 2 inhibitor(sST2),galectin⁃3 and uric acid(UA)levels for predicting the prognosis of patients with post ⁃ cardiac arrest syndrome. Methods The clinical data of 182 patients with post ⁃ cardiac arrest syndrome were retrospectively analyzed. Results The poor prognosis rate was 73.63%. The baseline serum levels of sST2,Galectin⁃3 and UA in the patients with poor prognosis were higher than those in the patients with good prognosis(P < 0.05). Increased baseline serum levels of sST2,Galectin⁃3,UA and acute physiology and chronic health(APACHE II)increased the risk of poor prognosis (P < 0.05),while increased lactate clearance decreased the risk of poor prognosis(P < 0.05). The sensitivity specificity and area under curve(AUC)of the combined prediction for the poor prognosis were higher than those of respective detection. Conclusion The mortality rate of the patients with post⁃cardiac arrest syndrome is high. The baseline serum levels of sST2,Galectin⁃3 and UA are higher in the patients with poor prognosis, and it is of higher value to predict the risk of poor prognosis by combing the three levels.
