Research progress on the application of lower limb exoskeleton robot in spinal cord injury

Abstract:

Spinal cord injury can cause severe sensory and motor dysfunction in the limb below the level of injury,affecting the patient′s quality of life significantly. The lower limb exoskeleton robot has drawn a lot of attention from academics both domestically and internationally as a novel therapy method for spinal cord injury. This paper introduces the basic principles of lower limb exoskeleton robots,briefly describes its most recent domestic and international progress in the recovery of walking function in patients with spinal cord injury,and further puts forward new prospects for research and development in this field,in order to provide specific references and references for the basic research and clinical treatment plan of postoperative rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury.
