Abstract:

The new biomimetic spinal cord scaffold manufactured by 3D printing has good biocompatibility and mechanical properties, which can effectively improve the microenvironment disorder and glial scar problems after spinal cord injury(SCI). By combining specific nerve cells, the repair of SCI can also be more targeted and specific. In recent years, many new spinal scaffolds and their corresponding treatment methods have been devel⁃ oped, including new scaffolds based on collagen and improved by mixing other materials, new synthetic materials spinal scaffolds and new treatment ideas of nerve cells modified by specific factors on scaffolds. The feasibility of the treatment methods has been verified through animal experiments, which provides a new direction for the repair and treatment of SCI. This article reviews the experimental research progress of 3D printed biomimetic scaffolds in the repair of spinal cord injury.
