Postoperative analgesia strategy under concept of ERAS

Abstract:
Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)is a term often used to describe evidence⁃based peri⁃ operative care programs. Through the cooperation of department of surgery,anesthesisology,nursing,and nutrition and other departments,the perioperative protocol is optimized so as to reduce postoperative complications,shorten hospital stay and enhance the recovery of patients after surgery. With the extensively accepted concept and proto⁃ cols of ERAS in the past decade,the insufficient supply of medical resources in China has been alleviated. Effec⁃ tive analgesia is an important element of ERAS and preventive,multimodal,opioid⁃sparing analgesia and individu⁃ alized analgesia is effective for improving patient′s quality of life and satisfaction. This article summarizes the post⁃ operative analgesia strategies under the concept of ERAS.
