Abstract:

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the application of Nd：YAG laser combinedwith Er：YAG laser in the treatment of ankylotomy and summarize the treatment timing and treatment method.Methods 218 patients with ankyloglossia from December 2017 to December 2019 were treated by ankylotomymanaged with Nd ：YAG laser and Er ：YAG laser. The efficacy and recovery were observed before and afterankylotomy surgery. Results Hemorrhage volumes of all the patients in ankylotomy were in a low level. Theirhealing and recovery were fast with no obvious discomfort. The function of the frenulum of the patients returnedto normal measuring by a simplified tool（hazelbaker assessment tool for lingual frenulum function）HATLFF.Conclusions The use of Nd：YAG laser combined with Er：YAG laser for the treatment ankyloglossia coulddecrease the difficulties，complications and postoperative reactions. It is suggested that the operative age of thechildren should be 14 moths. The indication and scope of the operation could also be flexible.
