Sepsis is one of the most common causes of death in critically ill patients. Sepsis⁃related liver injury is a common complication of sepsis, which is related to microcirculation dysfunction, oxygen free radical injury, intestinal bacterial and endotoxin translocation, and excessive production of inflammatory factors. It is believed that the gut ⁃liver axis is involved in the development of sepsis ⁃ related liver injury. Further study on the role of gut⁃liver axis in the pathogenesis of sepsis⁃related liver injury will help to find more effective treatment mea⁃ sures and improve the success rate of rescue in sepsis patients.
