Abstract:

Objective To observe the effect of low frequency treatment of midnight ⁃noon ebb ⁃flow acu⁃ puncture on ovarian reserve function and pregnancy outcome in patients with poor ovarian response treated with vitro fertilization⁃embryo transfer. Methods 70 patients who were to undergo in vitro fertilization（IVF）were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，the former treated with low⁃frequency treatment of midnight⁃noon ebb⁃flow acupuncture for 2 menstrual cycles before IVF and the latter only with IVF. The changes of ovarian function before and after treatment were compared within the observation group and the data of basic clinical information，exogenous administration，oocyte，embryo information and pregnant outcome between the two groups were compared. Result After the low frequency treatment of midnight⁃noon ebb⁃flow acupuncture，the basic AFC was significantly higher than before the treatment（P = 0.002），the basic FSH was lower significantly （P = 0.011）. The numbers of oocytes retrieved and embryos available in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group（P < 0.05）. The clinical pregnant rate and live birth rate were higher than those of the control group（44.4% vs. 29.2%），（29.6% vs. 12.5%）. Conclusion The low⁃frequency treatment of midnight⁃noon ebb⁃flow acupuncture before IVF can significantly improve the ovarian reserve function，increase the number of oocytes and embryos available，
