Abstract:

Objective To compare the efficacy of vindesine and vincristine in treating children with primary acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL). Method Ninety patients with primary ALL,who were admitted to our hospital from May 2015 to December 2018,were divided into control group(45 cases)and experiment group(45 cases). The control group was treated by vincristine, while the experiment group by vindesine. Patients in the two groups received chemotherapy once a week. The administration varied from 3 to 5 times based on personal conditions. Short⁃term efficacy ,myelogram, adverse reactions and the treatment effect in the two groups were compared. Results There was no difference in myelogram on Day 15 and Day 33,and no significant differences were found in terms of recovery time of fever, fatigue, pain, abdominal distension and edema between the two groups(P > 0.05). The white blood cell(WBC)count and the absolute lymphocyte count significantly decreased after treatment in both groups. Meanwhile ,the WBC count and the absolute lymphocyte count of the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). There were statistical differences in the inci⁃ dence of adverse reactions such as neurotoxins, thrombocytopenia and anemia between the two groups(P < 0.05). Conclusion Both vindesine and vincristine can achieve a good therapeutic effect in treating children with ALL which can be used in clinical practice.
