鼻咽癌组织中S100A8和S100A9的表达与预后的相关性

The expression of S100A8 and S100A9 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its relation with prognosis

摘要: 目的 探讨S100A8和S100A9在鼻咽癌组织中的表达及其与临床病理特征、预后的关系。方法 选取2008年1月至2011年12月鼻咽癌组织标本92例和鼻咽炎组织标本92例,收集鼻咽癌患者的临床病理分期及生存情况。免疫组化法检测两组标本中S100A8和S100A9的表达水平。分析S100A8、S100A9的表达与临床病理特征、预后的相关性。结果 S100A8和S100A9在鼻咽癌组织中的阳性表达率分别为52.2%和72.8%,鼻咽炎组织中的阳性表达率分别为17.4%和37.0%,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05)。S100A8、S100A9的表达与性别、年龄无关(P > 0.05),但与分化程度、临床分期、淋巴结转移密切相关(P < 0.05)。S100A8的表达与S100A9的表达呈显著正相关(r = 0.4,P < 0.001)。S100A8、S100A9均阴性表达者预后优于S100A8、S100A9均阳性表达者(P < 0.05)。结论 S100A8、S100A9的表达与鼻咽癌的临床病理、生存期密切相关。S100A8和S100A9阳性表达预示预后不良,可作为鼻咽癌治疗、预后判断的重要指标。

Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of S100A8 and S100A9 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and their relationship with clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods 92 nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 92 nasopharyngitis specimens were enrolled from January 2008 to December 2011. The clinicopathological stages and survival of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were analyzed. The expression levels of S100A8 and S100A9 in the two groups were detected by immunohistochemistry. The correlation between the expression of S100A8 and S100A9 and clinicopathological features and prognosis were analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of S100A8 and S100A9 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma were 52.2% and 72.8%, respectively, and those in nasopharyngitis were 17.4% and 37.0%, respectively, which had significant difference (P < 0.05). The expression of S100A8 and S100A9 was not related to sex and age (P > 0.05), but closely related to differentiation, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05). The expression of S100A8 was positively correlated with S100A9 (r = 0.4, P < 0.001). The prognosis of patients with negative expression of S100A8 and S100A9 was better than those with positive expression of S100A8 and S100A9 (P < 0.05). Conclusion sThe expression of S100A8 and S100A9 are closely related to the clinicopathology and survival of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The positive expression of S100A8 and S100A9 are predicted poor prognosis and can be used as an important index for the treatment and prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
