Spinal cord injury is devastating damage to central nervous system. In addition to disabilityand death,it often results in a variety of complications which seriously affect life quality in patients. Meanwhile, intestinal flora is a complex and relatively stable ecosystem ,which is critical to maintaining human health. Inrecent years, the effects of intestinal flora on spinal cord injury have also received more and more attention.Studies have shown that intestinal flora can serve not only as a biomarker for the severity of spinal cord injury andpartial complications, but also as a good target for the treatment of spinal cord injury. Based on the results ofthese studies, this paper provides some ideas for the further research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of spinalcord injury.
