Type 2 diabetes mellitus（T2DM）is a group of metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia，which tranditional require long⁃term medication with hypoglycemic drugs. However，more recent studies have shown that some diabetic patients can be alleviated by intensive intervention of diet and exercise，hypoglycemic drug which can loss weight，or short⁃term intensive insulin therapy，metabolic surgery. This article will discuss the definition of T2DM remission and intervention methods.
