Abstract

Diabetes(DM)is one of the most common metabolic diseases in the world. The etiology of dia⁃ betes is complex. Its etiology is complex, and more and more evidence shows that diabetes is regulated by intestinal flora and microbial metabolites, and the imbalance of flora is one of the risk factors for diabetes. As a new treat⁃ ment method, fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)can regulate the flora. In this review,we focus on the appli⁃ cation of FMT in diabetic population and diabetic animal models, aiming to evaluate the efficacy and safety of FMT targeted therapy for diabetes, and consider FMT as a potential therapy for DM.
