Abstract

Sepsis is a life⁃threatening systemic response syndrome caused by infection, with a high mortali⁃ ty rate. Anti⁃infection treatment is the core measure for the rescue of patients with sepsis. There is still controversy about the relationship between early antibiotic treatment and sepsis mortality. Some scholars support early antibiotic treatment because their studies have found that early antibiotic treatment can reduce mortality in patients with sep⁃ sis, while delayed use of antibiotics leads to an increase in sepsis mortality; Some scholars object to early antibiot⁃ ic treatment, because their research shows that early antibiotic treatment is not related to sepsis mortality or only related to a long delay, and the harm of early use of antibiotics is that non⁃sepsis patients are also empirically treated with antibiotics, which will lead to an increase in the incidence of multiple drug resistance, and then lead to an increase in patient mortality; However, other scholars believe that antibiotic treatment for patients with sepsis var⁃ ies from person to person, that is,individualized treatment is more beneficial. This article expounds the relation⁃ ship between early antibiotic treatment and prognosis of patients with sepsis.
