Objective To investigate the influences of arthroscopic improved press⁃fit double⁃row suture technique on shoulder function, range of motion and pain in patients with large rotator cuff tear. Methods Sixty⁃ five patients with large rotator cuff tear admitted to our hospital were collected and randomly assigned to control group(n = 32)and observation group(n = 33). The control group was treated with arthroscopic Suture ⁃Bridge technique, and the observation group was treated with Improved⁃press⁃fit DR technique. The shoulder joint function [American Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery(ASES score)scoring standard,University of California,Los Angeles(UCLA score)shoulder joint scoring system, shoulder Constant⁃Murley score],quality of life[European five⁃dimensional health scale(EQ⁃5D)],range of motion(lateral external rotation, forward flexion),visual ana⁃ logue scale(VAS)and rotator cuff healing were compared. Results Compared with before treatment,ASES score, UCLA score,Constant score,EQ⁃5D score, lateral external rotation dimension, and forward flexion dimension in both groups were obviously increased after treatment(P < 0.05),and observation group had obviously higher results than those of the control group(P < 0.05);the VAS scores of both groups were obviously decreased after treatment(P < 0.05),and the observation group was obviously decreased compared with the control group(P < 0.05); the re ⁃tear rate of the observation group(3.03%)was obviously lower than that of the control group(25.00%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion Arthroscopic improved press ⁃fit DR technique for patients with large rotator cuff tear could effectively enhance shoulder joint function and range of motion, reduce pain, improve quality of life, and reduce the incidence of re⁃tear, with good results.
