Research progress of intraperitoneal administration of ropivacaine for enhanced recovery after laparoscopic surgery

Pain,nausea and vomiting,and other adverse events after laparoscopic surgery seriously affect the recovery of patients. Therefore,seeking better analgesia and effectively reducing postoperative complications are important goals in enhance recovery after surgery. As a long⁃term amide local anesthetic,ropivacaine can not only block nerve excitation and conduction,but also has the effects of anti⁃inflammation,inhibition of cell injury and anti⁃cancer. Intraperitoneal administration of ropivacaine can reduce postoperative pain and surgical stress lev⁃ els;reduce the incidence of nausea and vomiting,and promote gastrointestinal function recovery. It is conducive to accelerating postoperative rehabilitation. This review summarizes the clinical effects,possible mechanisms,safety, and administration strategies of intraperitoneal administration of ropivacaine.
