Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of MAP washed red blood cells(MAP WBC)and normal saline mixed with red blood cells(WBC)on direct antiglobulin test(DAT)of blood transfusion therapy in DAT⁃ positive patients. Methods From January 2020 to December 2021,207 DAT ⁃ positive patients in our hospital were selected and divided into MAP group(n = 93)and saline group(n = 114). MAP group was infused with MAP washed red blood cells for treatment, while saline group was treated by infusion of saline and washed red blood cells mixture. The blood transfusion efficacy as well as side effects of the two groups was observed via detecting the laboratory indexes of hemoglobin(HGB)and total bilirubin(TBIL). Results Comparing the changes of each index before and after blood transfusion in the two groups, inner⁃group HGB and TBIL significantly increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while there was no obvious change in HGB and TBIL between the two groups and the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05). There were no adverse reactions of blood transfusion in both groups. Conclusion Both types of washed red blood cells are safe and effective for DAT⁃ positive patients, but MAP washed red blood cells can better meet the needs of clinical emergency with the capabil⁃ ity to be stored for longer period.
