Abstract: The treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma is commonly based on surgery and combination of radiotherapy with chemotherapy,so that the local control rate of the malignancy and survival rate can be effec⁃ tively improved. Dendritic cells are the immune cells with the strongest ability to present antigens in the immune system. The vaccine prepared by impacting dendritic cells with tumor⁃specific antigens has achieved preliminary results in the research and application of the treatment of stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ oral squamous cell carcinoma. Although the combination of dendritic cell vaccine with chemoradiotherapy can play a complementary role,it has not achieved an expected therapeutic effect when used alone in the treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma. The problems including high ⁃efficiency uptake of antigens, processing, and search for new and effective biological targets for dendritic cell vaccines need to be solved urgently, providing new possibilities for tumor immunotherapy in the future.
