Breast cancer is a common disease, which is harmful for females, and surgery dominated its treatment. However ,after surgical treatment ,the incidence of lymphedema in upper limbs is high due to the injury of axillary lymphatic vessels, which affects the patients′ quality of life and increases their pain. Clinicians, especially breast surgeons should attach more importance to it. In this paper, breast cancer⁃related lymphedema is discussed, especially the prevention and treatment of lymphedema. With the development of breast cancer research and the popularization of minimally invasive surgery, the incidence of breast cancer ⁃ related lymphedema will be gradually reduced, which is of positive significance for alleviating the pain of patients and improving the quality of life.
