Abstract:

Objective To explore the clinical application value of highly selective spermatic vein ligation under the outer ring for varicocele(Varicocele,VC). Methods A total of 120 VC patients admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to January 2018 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group(n = 60)and control group(n = 60). Highly selective spermatic vein ligation under the microscope were performed in the treatment group and spermatic vein ligation under the microscope were used in the control group. The therapeutic effects between the two groups were compared. Results The operation duration, intraoperative blood loss,24 h body tem⁃ perature and hospital stay of the study group were(35.26 ± 10.36)min,(4.19 ± 0.63)mL,(36.54 ± 0.21)℃ 7.62 ± 1.28)days,respectively,and were shorter than those of the control group(P < 0.05). While, the semen quality of the study group 24 h after surgery was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05);the total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 3.33% ,which was lower than that of the control group 13.33%(P < 0.05). Conclusion The high⁃selective spermatic vein ligation under the outer ring of the microscope is safe and effective for VC. It could shorten the recovery time of patients to a limited extent and is worthy of clinical application.
