Abstract:

Objective To study the clinical application of the position，named“looking at the moon”，in laparoscopic axillary surgery in breast cancer. Methods A total of 283 patients undergoing laparoscopic axillary surgery for breast cancer in our hospital were selected. The observation group adopted the position of“looking at the moon”（142 cases），which was designed through relevant data. In the control group，the supine position that shoulder and back were higher on the operative side was adopted in 141 patients. The indexes of position placement，perioperative characteristics，patient comfort and doctor satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results All patients completed laparoscopic axillary surgery for breast cancer successfully，without trans⁃ ferring to open surgery. It took less time in the observation group than in the control group in time⁃consuming of position placement. Moreover，there was shorter operation time，less postoperative complications but higher doctor satisfaction（P < 0.05）. Conclusion The application of the position“looking at the moon”in laparoscopic axillary surgery for breast cancer can improve the efficiency and reduce complications，which not only expose operative field effectively ，but also shorten the time of operation.
