Abstract:

Acute myocardial infarction has the characteristics of rapid progression, dangerous condition, unstable hemodynamics, and is prone to thrombosis, resulting in a high clinical mortality rate. Intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABP) has the function of increasing intra-aortic diastolic pressure, reducing left ventricular afterload, and enhancing coronary artery blood supply. It is a common auxiliary and transitional treatment method for coronary intervention, which can significantly improve the safety and clinical efficacy of coronary intervention. Therefore, it is widely used in high-risk and complex coronary heart disease, mainly acute myocardial infarction. This article reviews the research progress on the application effect and thrombosis management of IABP in acute myocardial infarction in recent years.

Key words: acute myocardial infarction, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, thrombosis, research progress
