Bone defect healing is regulated by mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs),osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and immune cells. This tightly linked and mutually regulated relationship between immune cells and bone tissue is called osteoimmune. Non ⁃ coding RNAs(ncRNAs)are transcribed from the genome but not involved in protein translation, and they regulate physiological processes such as proliferation, oxidative stress, migration, inflamma⁃tion, and phenotypic changes. In recent years,an increasing number of studies have demonstrated that ncRNAs may be closely related to bone regeneration in diabetic conditions. Studies on the relationship between ncRNA and defect healing in diabetic conditions are expected to be a potential therapeutic target for promoting bone regenera⁃tion in diabetes.
